Kitchen and Teddy Grahams

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 4:25 pm
We bought the little teddy grahams for Jason and he absolutely loved him. I dd have to stop him after he put 7 in his mouth at one time. He was drooling every where (more then usual I should say).
The project that I was working on was taking down the wallpaper boarded in the kitchen and putting up a new one. This wall paper was really hard to take down. It took 2 hours to take it down. Goodness for that 16 feet, that is crazy.

But I put up the new boarded with a strip of wallpaper. I LOVE it. It took longer then I would have liked to put it up, but there are 6 electrical outlets/light switches in that little area. We also bought new rugs, towels, and pot holders. I can’t wait to see it with the new curtain that I am making today.

Sledding?

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 4:42 pm

Matt decided to see what happens when sliding over the edge. He found out the hard way and ended up with a pretty nasty little bruise on his back.

Jason didn’t want to be put down, so Mickie took him for a lap. I can’t believe it, but she ran the whole lap with that 20 pound weight!

Friday night we were able to hang out with some friends. It was really good seeing them. We only get together once every 2 months or so. You know how it goes when you get busy.

I have been working on a project and hopefully it will be accomplished by tomorrow and I will have pictures up. I am amazed that I got the motivation and actually did it all by myself. Usually I need a pretty big push from Mickie or Will to get things done, but not this time.

Snow Day pics

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 4:55 pm

It snowed all night so Matt decided to take Jason out sledding. We bundled Jason up and went out pretty early in the morning so that we would beat the afternoon rush.

Matt pulled Jason up the hill and he thought that it was OK. He was pretty nervous though.
After going down and face planting it in the snow.
Jason didn’t like the snow any more.
After that he always wanted to be held.
I guess sledding really wore out the boys. Mickie, Will, and I all went shopping and this is how we found Matt and Jason when we returned.

Snow Day

Jason was not a huge fan of the snow. He thought the snow was OK in this video, but the next video made him realize how much he didn’t like it.

I will post more video’s tomorrow.

Will’s Entry

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 5:15 pm

I hope everyone enjoyed the last entry. Let’s hear it for the new camera! Shot after shot, with little pausing and great narrating by Kristin. I wish everyone could have seen how the next 2 pictures should have been. Jason then proceeded to shove my head out of way. After I was out of the way, he stuck his head where mine had been so he could figure out what was so interesting to me. He’s definitely a curious kid.
I’ve been wanting to write about a subject for while now. I’m sure everyone feels the same way that I do, but I just wanted to write it. I LOVE BLOGS. I wish we had the technology for this kind of thing when we were growing up. Kristin prints out our blog every once in a while (nudge, nudge) and it will be so fun looking at them as time goes on. That, plus I feel so much more connected to everyone. I used to think “Oh, I’ll check them once a week”. Now I find myself checking them everyday at work. I even get excited when it takes longer to load the page because I know that it means that there’s going to be something new. It’s neat to know what’s going on with everyone else and even neater to get someone else’s perspective on a shared experience.
I have a theory that the divorce rate has gone up in conjunction (yeah, I used that word and I’m not taking it back) with how far away couples live away from family. I know that it’s society’s perspective nowadays that parents and in-laws are a smothering prescence. On the other hand, I believe that having extended family around lent support and chances to “vent”. I don’t think I’m conveying what I’m intending, but I hope y’all know what I mean. With how isolated couples can get nowadays, it’s no surprise to me that relationships suffer without additional outlets. With everone’s blogs now, it just feels less “Us against the World”. We love the family connections and hope it continues. Well, that’s it for now.

Slide and Class

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 5:10 pm

Will took Jason to the mall and he had a great time. He learned how to go down the slide. Once he learned he would go over and over. He got so mad at us when we took him away.

Last night Steph and I got away and went to another class. I really enjoyed this one and got quite a few ideas from it. Both Steph and I won something as well, which made the class even better. I won a tie for Will, which I really like and Steph won a Sesame Street CD. I learn so much when I go to these classes. If any one else wants to go let me know. You always get a free book out of it.
