1 week

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 9:40 am

Ok I have so much to write and little time to write it in. So it is all going to be bullet points. These are the memorable moments (that I can remember right now) of the last week.

  • Will compared me to a gently used older model car. Yeah thanks Will. I don’t think I am that old!
  • Playing the Wii while feeding Sierra. That is fun :)
  • Jason not sleeping very well (and still not going to bed on time).
  • When Will and I stay over in a hotel we always get muffins from the store to eat for breakfast.
  • Will eating his coconut pineapple thrifty ice cream.
  • While eating hot pot, Jason just liked to dip his chopstick in the soy sauce and licking it. Weird kid!
  • Playing mini golf in 75 degree weather, while it was snowing in Utah.
  • Going to the beach and Jason sitting down in the water. He was pretty cold, especially when we stripped him down to nothing to put him in the car.
  • We played a game on Christmas eve where you act out Christmas carol titles. How the heck do you act out “The holly and the ivy” and “Oh little town of Bethlehem?” It was a pretty fun game.
  • We got a Wii for Christmas and I told Will not to put it up and to do something else. I then proceeded to tease Will about not putting it up and why he was so slow.
  • The best part was watching everyone play tennis. Even Edward and Joanna got in on the action!
  • Realizing how small Sierra really is. Will’s cousin had a baby 3 days before Sierra and they were born 5 oz apart. Their baby was a ton bigger then Sierra was. Oh well she will just be small like the rest of us.
  • We were invited to Janet’s house (Will’s aunts) and no one was home. Thank goodness the front door was open!
  • 3 of us girls (Tracie, Cathrine, and me)  watching Aliens vs Predator by ourselves by choice.
  • The phrase for the week was “Fingers out!”
  • The first gift Jason opened what the only one he wanted to play with.
  • Lots of oranges don’t make little digestive systems very happy.
  • The car didn’t start, but we have had no problems with it since. How weird :(
  • Jason has learned to get out of the play pen. Dang no more containing him in there. We will have to come up with a different way next time.
  • We were able to play laser tag as much as we wanted. Colton and Matt ended up playing just the 2 of them by the end. It sounded like a pretty intense game.
  • Jason went sledding
  • 1 token can last Jason longer then 30 min with ski ball. I think he only got one ball up the ramp.
  • Mickie and I went on a simulator. I have not laughed that hard in a long time. I was crying! “OH, here we go!” or “OH man!”
  • Eating teriyaki sticks when everyone else at purple turtle (my mom forgot to tell us the changed places to eat). I wanted teryaki stick anyways.
  • Everyone playing mario party. That is a great game.
  • Buying $300 in medical supplies. We over estimated on our flex card. I didn’t have a long enough labor (woops).
  • And last but not least Jason flipping a fruit cup all over Will during sacrament. We won’t be doing that one again.

Well I probably have more, but I have to go clean and make a lot of food tonight. Have a good New Years eve!

Funny Observations

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 4:08 pm

So we were driving to California when we saw a truck carrying hay.  It was going pretty fast when (out of nowhere), Will says “Wow, that truck is really hauling grass.”   Oh gosh, that was bad.

Now here’s Will observing Kristin being a dork:

Tracie and Troy volunteered to sing in the choir to be nice.  Kristin turns to me and says “Huh, Troy and Tracie make up 10% of the choir.”  Who’s the dork now!!!

Stardust

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 9:27 am

I forgot to mention that yesterday Will bought me Stardust at costco for Christmas. I can’t wait to open it, oh wait I have already watched it, woops. Those 3 am feedings are killers, but with a good movie, they aren’t so bad. Anyways at costco there is a $5 rebate on the movie when you buy it, which makes the movie $13. Will wanted me to give you stardust lovers the heads up.

What to choose?

track-2.jpg I think that Jason had a pretty good birthday yesterday. He has been bouncing around from the toys that he received. It has been quite interesting. He has not wanted any attention from me for the last 2 days, except to say “watch” or “look” while he races his cars.

track.jpg We went out to Wingers last night for dinner. Jason LOVES the popcorn appetizer that they give you. Well it was an experience going there. It was a good thing that I was in a great mood. Our waiter could do nothing right, but he was the nicest guy.

He let us use a birthday post card for Jason. We filled it out and handed it to him for his free meal. That was nice, then out came a pot pie for me instead of the alfredo. So he gave me my meal for free. He felt so bad. Then we ordered asphalt pie to go and he brought it to us for there. And to top it off that he charged us for the pot pie, which he took off before we paid. Poor guy. It must have been one of those days for him. I didn’t really mind, because mine and Jason’s meals were free :)

sierra.jpg I don’t think you can tell in this picture, but I painted Sierra’s finger nails to match her outfit. They are a nice light shade of pink. I think I am getting the hang of this girlie stuff.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASON!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 9:05 am

hardday.jpg Can you believe it has been 2 years. Yes this is my favorite birth picture of Jason. Poor kid will be tortured with this picture till I am dead, then some one else needs to find it and then tortur him with it for me :)

feeding.jpg Well we don’t have any big plans for Jason’s birthday today. The only thing we have planned is going out to dinner (any excuse right :) )

Grandma Coombs stopped by yesterday and gave Jason some birthday money. We then went to walmart and let him pick out a toy. He went straight to the Cars toys and picked out a racing ramp thing. He is so excited and has been playing with it all morning. I think he was just shocked that we let him keep the toy that he picked up and was caring around.

Will had his first pack meeting thing yesterday. He said that it went ok. We will see if anyone says anything to him. He will be great at it, once he gets over the nerves.

22.jpg How cute does she look! Steve gave Sierra this outfit and she looks so cute in it. You should not be able to put a month old in pigtails, but she has enough hair. I love it!! She just looks so much older with them in. I even went to the store and bought berets. Humm now how to use them. Girls are a lot of fun to dress.

12.jpg I just had to throw this picture in. Look how long that tongue is!

Will’s Entry: Basketball Musings

Just wanted to express a few thoughts I have had when watching BYU basketball.

  1. Basketball halftime shows are a million times better than football.  I HATE the marching band (along with the flag squad).
  2. It’s weird that we cheer when the other team is on offense.  It makes sense in football with False-starts and audibles and such.  In basketball it’s the exact opposite.  The defense is usually the one that needs to yell out picks and switches.  The only time that it “really” makes sense to yell is during free throws.  I still think everyone in the back should LEAN to make the background look funky.
  3. I think the same about BYU in practically every sport.  Really good fundamentally, but we get exposed when we play teams with great athletes.

I hope everyone is checking the blog tomorrow, because Kristin will be posting a Key-oooooottt (same it aloud) picture of Sierra.

Video and pics

Will took this video. I don’t think that she knows what she is doing, but cool.

The many faces of Sierra…

11.jpg The content face.

21.jpg The happy face. No noise comes out, just the face. Jason is in the corner of the shot making her smile some how.

32.jpg It’s the eyebrow!! I though you would like this one Will. I bet it is your background now.

cosomo.jpg Ok Jason was so scared of Cosmo. He was gripping Will so tight. He was so scared. And funny thing you can see the guys eyes through the mask. It is weird.

slippers.jpg New slippers… Jason says, “Ehh, off!” (Get, off)

slippers-2.jpg Yeah what can I say.
