9 Months

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 7:01 am

Sierra had her 9 month check up yesterday. Humm she is pretty dang small. At least she is even recognized on the growth charts. Length 26 1/2 5% Weight 15 lbs 12 oz 5%  head 43.1cm 25%

The appointment went pretty well, but then again I don’t really have any questions for the Doctor like I did with Jason. I used to bring in a long list of questions when Jason was little. Now it is all old hat. Sorry Sierra, hey I do take just as many pictures of you though. I think I do pretty darn good with that :)

OK I have a busy day today. Sorry guys no blog tomorrow. Have a great weekend.

Attitude check

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 7:56 am

Yesterday was pretty much the same as the day before. Kids were doing everything they could to annoy me and life was not that great. At 4:00 when the kids were running rampid though out the house because they had not taken naps, I decide that it was me. I was the one that needed to change my attitude. They were a little more cranky, but still pretty much the same kids. So we turned on some music and cleaned the house. Life was a lot better once I let things roll of my back.

Come to find out that there was a reason for all of our crankiness. Sierra is yup, cutting a tooth and Jason has a sore throat. Well that explains life pretty well. Sierra now has 3 teeth, but the weird thing is that the tooth she is cutting on top is not even a middle tooth. She is cutting the tooth next to the middle tooth. Come on all I want for Christmas are my 2 front teeth….

Joanna left a comment on the blog yesterday… “Luckily we all have some great days to carry us through the rough ones. Hope today is better. You may whip the defiant children with wet noodles.”

Just for Joanna I whipped my kids with noodles. Ok it was more like dangling it on their faces. But it was sure fun.

Bad day

Yup it was one of those days yesterday. I don’t think the world could do anything right, especially my defiant children. Today will be better, don’t worry. We are going to the library and hopefully my children will take naps today (fingers crossed).

Will’s Entry: Counter Post

Kristin’s (adopted) story reminded me of Kay’s story.  She should probably tell it, but I’ll try to do it justice.  When HD came back from his mission we took a Bragg family picture.  Of course it hung in their home and one day a lady was visiting.  She exclaimed “Oh how nice . . . you let the foreign exchange student be in the picture with you guys!”  Ummmm, yah . . . not even close.  I hear that she apologized profusely upon hearing the real reason for my presence.  I wonder if she still remembers the taste of her foot in her mouth . . .

I have another story too, however unrelated.  On Friday we took in our car for some maintenance.  This involved leaving the kids at a neighbors (Nuttalls) for 20 minutes.  As we handed Sierra off, I told her “She’s mobile”.  She said she had seen C-ra crawling, but you could tell when she put her down that she didn’t know what to expect.  She put her down and kept her hands in the vicinity just in case she fell over.  Well, Kristin and I promptly left and when we came back, the first thing she said was “She’s a BUSY one!!!”  Apparently by the time she got back after seeing us out the door Sierra was already standing at the fireplace and would not be contained.  I still get a chuckle out of imagining what C-ra was up to.

Friday Holly and I tried to go to a class, but it ended up being canceled. What a bummer, so instead we ate an ice cream at the store. We were sitting there, when an older gentleman came up to us and said that he loved watching us with the kids. It was nice of him to say that. They he proceeded to ask if the kids were adopted. Uhh nope, they are mine. He was too cute, even if he did think they were adopted and Holly was the grandma. Hahaha!!!

Saturday we headed up to Matt and Mickies to throw a game at Creekside. It was good to finally go up there. With Matt working all day and us not being able to go to seven peaks any more it was perfect.

Sunday was the norm…

Here are the amazing things that Jason is saying right now… He asked Suzanne, “You want to go shopping with us?” no, “Why not?”

He was talking with Joanna and said, “Whats up?”

Who is this kid? Just this week he has started to ask a ton of questions. Well it is the same question “Why not.” But he is asking it a ton now!

Here is Wills magic trick…

Here is part 2…

What the sunday post??

I know I know, what is this. A Sunday post. What on earth happened to deserve a Sunday post. This is what is happening. Crazy. Maybe Mickie’s prediction is going to come true.

Just for Fun

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 7:39 am

I am feeling a little better about Jason’s arm. We went back to the doctors and found out that Jason is such a tough and rumble kids, that he broke the splint. How a 2 1/2 year old breaks a splint, I don’t know. That is why he was able to extend his arm. After talking with Tracie I feel a lot better about the whole situation.

From going to the library and the doctors office, I was through going places. We spent a quiet but fun night at home. You know the ones where you goof around with the kids. Put on some goofy cd’s dance and run around with the kids on the shoulders…

Sierra would smack me on the head and then pull my hair. For some reason it was really fun to hear the thud.
