The tree

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 8:48 am

Last night we got rid of our Christmas tree. It was an adventure.

Does anyone see anything wrong with this picture? First we all had to get in through the windows. It was easy for the kids and I, but Will, he is a little bigger then us.

Why do I feel like something bad is going to happen?

We hear a snap….

Sweaty feet

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 8:40 am

Let me tell you all that Will’s hands sweat like crazy when he is nervous, anxious, or excited. On one of our first dates we went to a hunted house. Neither of us like hunted houses, so why we went I don’t know. That was the first time that he held my hand. Oh how sweet. Yeah it was pretty gross. His hands were sweating like crazy. I would hold his hand and then let go, wipe my hands off, and then hold the other hand. Ahh… what you will do for a new crush.

His wrists sweat like crazy too. When he is playing chess online I hate using the computer after him. It is pretty gross when he soaks the mouse pad.

So last night when he was playing Wii fit I noticed that his feet were sweating too. The heels. Wow I have never seen beads of sweat come from anyones ankles before. It was pretty interesting.

I just had to post it Will. You are to funny.

The rest of christmas (very long)

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 10:18 am

Here is the rest of the week in mostly pictures.

Wed morning the plumber came he said that it would only take 1 hour. Well 3 hours later He finally finished. It was crazy. He said that the worst thing to put down the disposal is: Egg shells, potato peelings, pasta, rice, grease. Well duh. The people who lived in the house before us put a lot of grease down the drain. He said the clog was over 10 feet long. Gross!

While he was still there my mom and I made waffles. Every time he would leave the kitchen for a min we would grab another ingredient. It was pretty comical. Well it is fixed and we don’t have to wory abou that any more.

Mickie colored my mom’s and my hair. I we both were going for darker, but that is what we picked. next time I will go even darker…

Christmas eve we decided to get our dollar gifts, Christmas cereals, and eat out. Let me tell you that I felt the pressure. We got to the dollar store 20 min before they were closing. We picked out gifts pretty fast.

dollargift

Then we showed up to walmart to get cereal. They were closing in 30 min. The line was soooo looong. We made that deadline and then it was trying to find a place to eat. Luckily we found Bajio’s and they were open for another 20 min. I am surprised we were able to do everything we wanted. We lucked out. I guess Christmas eve is not the time do do all that kind of stuff.

We looked at some christmas lights a we drove home and then the kids opened chirstmas pj’s.

All she wants to do is step on the wrapping paper. It made wrapping gifts pretty tough for Will and Matt ;)

evepjs2

She doesn’t quite open gifts yet. I am surprised that we even got a picture like this…

evepjs3

Here are the pj’s… So cool. Transformers and Iron man.

evepjs4

Sierra on the other hand HATES her pj’s. We found out that she hates feet on her pj’s. She keep trying to rip off the feet. Haha. Silly girl.

Christmas morning we all sat around and read Luke 2…

Then we ate breakfast…

Looked at our Christmas boots…

Then Santa’s helper passed out presents. Usually it is Colton’s job to pass out the gifts. Jason took his place this year.

Sierra and Jason received a wagon. They love to sit in it. I have not had to many fights about it. Once they figured out it has 2 seats…

Christmas morning everyone went sledding. They were the only ones out. Go figure.

Jason’s new thing is to just cover his eyes with the beanie instead of covering his eyes. Silly kid!

We then hung out Christmas and then tried to go bowling. They were closed so we went over to Holly’s and hung out. Played a game or two and then we snuk over to Will’s parents place. We didn’t stay long, but we just had to stop in and say hi.

Friday we went shopping, out to lunch, watched bed time stories, and went to boondocks. We had a great time. We stayed there way to late. Will was having so much fun. I figured that it was ok to keep the kids up. It is not often that Will gets to play until his hearts content. They played laser tag for almost 3 hours straight. Fun stuff.

Saturday we were able to spend the day with Will’s family.

We were able to also go back to our place and play the Wii for a bit. Oh man am I a spaz at this game.

All in all we had a great week.

AAAHHHHH!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 8:56 am

We finally did it and called a plumber. Our pipes are so clogged that we have to have them power washed. Gee Great. Merry Christmas. I am thankful that we at least have a break with the problems so that we can pay for them. I think Trish is right. You pay your tithing and things turn out.

My mom decided that this is going to be then new fashion.

We had a birthday party for Jason and my dad last night. We had a good showing and I think it was pretty fun. Thanks all that showed!

We sure fit a lot of people on that couch. The point seta bowl was on. We had to watch. A win for TCU is a win for the conference.

Holly I hope you are happier with this picture ;)

Will’s Entry: My Christmas Wishes

I love sports and thought that I would include my wishes regarding some of my favorite sports:

Football – Put a microchip in the ball to identify its exact location!  The spot of the ball is WAY to arbitrary in my book.  (Umm, I think the ball made it uh, this far . . . yeah right)

Tennis – More sets, but shorter.  Maybe best of 7, but instead of sets being to 6 games, up to 4 along with a shorter tiebreaker.  Also, let’s just score from 1 to 4 instead of 15,30, 40 which is lame!

Baseball – Use replay!  I think the strike zone is way too subjective as well as close calls in the action.

Disc Golf – more courses or TV coverage, I can’t decide . . . MORE courses!

Soccer – I’m not sure what could improve it, but I wish the games didn’t seem to be decided by only a handful of plays.

Basketball – the current contract situation.  It seems like players are traded based on contract rather than talent.  Also, I wish teams had more power to terminate contracts.  Overpaying players who do not earn their contracts (not just Marbury) and paralyzing the teams doesn’t help the NBA at all.

Yesterday was one of the less interesting days. It snowed pretty much all day. I think that we all got out there to shovel at least one time each with a total of about 5 times. It was crazy how much snow we have piled up in our yard.

There was a lot of shoveling, fixing toilets, and installing new hinges on the entertainment center, and installing my favorite part magnetic locks so the kids can’t get in the entertainment center any more. Wahoo!!

Because there was so much snow we had to cancel our plans and stay home. AJ had a basketball game and just as we were getting shoes on for the game, Art called and said it to was canceled. What a bummer. We did at least get out of the house and head to purple turtle. It was a nice ending to the day.

I want to shout out and say Happy Birthday to my Dad and Joanna. Hope it is a good one!

Gingerbread weekend

Filed under: Uncategorized — by Kristin @ 9:07 am

Good morning all! Well this is how our weekend played out…

  • My parents and Seth showed up Saturday afternoon. The snow storm was not very good, so they decided to do the trip half and half. They made it here safely.
  • There was a quick trip to quick silver for a great sale and then we listened to the byu basketball game. Very disappointing ending.

bballgame

  • We then watched BYU lose the football game. Sad day. Maybe next year will be better.
  • Sunday Mickie sang in church. I was told that she did a great job. Will and I had to teach in our own ward so we missed it. Which is very interesting that we went from the 11/12 down to the 9/10 and next year we are teaching 6/7. I just don’t even know how to wrap my mind around teaching such little kids. We have 2 kids from the primary presidency and one from the bishopric. I hope we don’t mess up to bad ;)
  • Sunday we had soup and scones and grandma Coombs, and then it was off to make gingerbread houses.

  • My dad still wants to be included, but not really. He is hanging out with the kids…

Jason did a great job with his first Gingerbread house. I would put the frosting on the candy and he would stick it somewhere.
