Happy Birthday Mickie and Suzanne! This weekend we went bowling, had cake (brownie cookies) and ice cream, played the wii, eat brick chicken, disc golfed, and hung out. It was a busy fun weekend.

I won…

…a book from those kbyu classes that I go to. Ok there were only 12 of us so I had a really good shot. She said she had no more prizes and then she read one more book. And gave it away to me! I was excited.

Jason comment: We were at dinner eating and he didn’t want to eat what I made like usual. I made him take the usual one bite, just to try it. After he tried it he told us, “I can’t eat it! It’s messy in my mouth!” Hahaha where does he come up with these things.

Yesterday he also did not take a nap. When I went up stairs he was out of his bedroom. He looked at me and said, “Shhhh!” Oh Jason. He then ran into the other bathroom and put away the soap. I was curious what he was up to. When I walked in he finished putting away the soap, turned to look at me, held his hands out like a price is right model to the soap, and said, “Taddaaa.” How could i get upset with that. I had a good laugh at the whole thing. He also preceded to tell me that soap was for washing your body and showed me how. Some of the things he thinks of.

Will’s Entry: Voice from above

So I do something that I wonder if other parents do.  Sometimes I’ll go wherever he goes and notice that he’s doing something he’s not supposed to, usually something minor like climbing on a sofa, sucking on his fingers or touching the computer.  If he doesn’t see me, I’ll back up so that he can’t see me and in a loud voice, tell him to stop the activity.  Somehow, I hope to convince him that “Dad” doesn’t have to see him to know he’s doing something wrong, he just knows.  Am I weird or do any other parents do this?

I’m surprised to see that Kristin didn’t find Sierra’s swimsuit blog-worthy.  We put our 16 month old Sierra in her new swimsuit.  It’s for 18 months but we got it last year thinking that it would be perfect for the summer season.  Well, she’s not big enough for it quite yet so we tried last years and it still fit.  Isn’t it odd that our 16 month old still fits in a swimsuit made for 6 months?

I know Kristin already said it but it was funny to see how fearless Sierra was in the pool.  Not a second of hesitation and there was nowhere she wouldn’t go.  It’ll be nice when she’s not such a drowning hazard.  She’d walk in water up to her neck with no qualms.  I guess she just has a lot of trust in her mom and dad.  As for Jason, we can barely keep up with him.

Pool

There was a conversation that took place with HD, Britany, and I. I will not go into details about what it was a bout but they found out that Will likes to eat pho. It is a Vietnamese soup. They really wanted to try it. All yesterday I heard, are we going to eat pho? Lets eat pho. Haha Sure we will get some pho. Me knowing that they would never just eat that for dinner and knowing that they probably wouldn’t like it, I ordered other food as well. Sure enough as soon and it gets here they take and bite and yup don’t like it. More for Will LOL!

Last night we also decided to head up to the lehi pool. We had a great time. It took Baylee a while to get use to all the noise, but I think she had a great time. Laycee turned blue and we had to take her out. Poor girl was cold, so we took turns sitting out.

Now Jason and Sierra on the other hand. Jason was always off and LOVED the water. And Sierra. She is crazy, she was a go, go, go, kind of girl. Never wanted to be held. She LOVED the water too. Will and I would have to walk inches away from her. If she lost her balance she was under the water in a flash. We would yank her up, she would struggle to get away from us (like I know what I am going. Nothing was going to happen), and then she would start walking around again. Crazy! We all had a great time.

HD and Britnay just left so it is now a normal house again. Well as normal as ME watching basketball all day. It is just so much more exciting to yell at your teams. “COME ON! I NEED YOU TO WIN THIS!!!!”

I am now the proud owner of fablehaven!! I am so excited to read it. Bummer thing is it is 5th in line. I guess that will give Will a chance to read the other ones first so we can read the 4th together.

We have pretty much been hanging out out with HD and Britany. It has been a nice change to the everyday humdrum.

This is how Will block the kids when he does the dishes.
