Broken Promises

30 Jun

We were messing up all over the places this weekend. I will explain.

Friday night was just the usual, out to dinner, and then walk around the mall. We got some great gifts for kids at the Disney store for 40% off clearance. I was pretty excited about that, including a few things for upcoming road trips and Christmas for Jason.

Saturday was the day of broken promises. We got up planning to go to Seven peaks. Well we didn’t make it out of the door, so Will went disc golfing instead. Sure what ever. After naps we were then going to go mini-golfing, but then Matt and Suzanne came over and wanted to go to seven peaks. Sure, so we go and it is closed. So then I tell Jason that we are going to go mini golfing and we end up disc golfing again instead. Poor kid was so confused all day long as to what we were going to do. I am sure glad that he is still at an age where he doesn’t remember what we are going to do and when.

This is what we did instead, played in the backyard pool and then in the tub.

More broken promises. Sunday we told our primary class if they could memorize D&C 4 then we would bring them a candy of their choice. All of the kids did it except 2. It blew me away! Granted we learned all the verses except one in class. I thought no the other 2 would not get it by this Sunday. What the heck one of them did. I would have never guessed in a million years that he would have done it. So next week we are bringing him his jaw breaker. Crazy!!

Sunday night was a birthday dinner for Jeremy and Matt. They both turned 25! Happy 1/4 of a century, you old farts! We had a great time hanging out with the fam and eating some great london broil!

Saturday morning: Suzanne brought home some balloons for Jason to play with. He got tangled up in them and LOVED it. He stayed in the balloons until 11:30 when we had to pick up Suzanne’s car. Crazy kid!

When I read the title I thought it would be bad, but after reading what you have done all weekend…looks like the ‘broken promises’ were just tweaked. 🙂 I need to take a shower and come get that kitty. 😉

It sounds like a great weekend! I love swimming in the tub! Probably a lot warmer than the pool out side…:)

So I dont think Jason cared he was with his FAVORITE UNCLE MATT the whole time. Matt said he even passed up the park to go throw one more time with Matt and Will at the end. Your training him well he’ll be PGDA in no time 🙂

Glad those balloons could keep him occupied for that long. I didn’t think he would enjoy them that much but hey… whatever works. Just glad he didn’t strangle himself…

Funny that Seven Peaks was closed, given that my brother Shane posted about their Neways company party at Seven Peaks on Saturday, and how they kicked the public out at 4. They thought it was awesome, I guess you didn’t feel the same!!
