This was our Friday and Saturday. We spent it putting in a sprinkler system. I would say that doing it when there is no grass or trees is way easier. Digging through roots, rocks, phone lines, and cable lines was not the funnest event. It was a huge mess. Thank goodness we rented a trencher or we would never have gotten the thing done.

I was surprised with as many things as we had to do on Friday and Saturday that it even got finished. If you are putting in a sprinkler system forgo the PVC pipes and go straight to poly pipe. Holy cow it was easy to put in. It is a snap in place kind of material. It made life so much nicer.

Thank you to everyone who helped us put it in. We appreciated the help and the sprinklers will be a ton nicer!! I am grateful that I have such a willing family to help us do stuff like this! We even had Matts friend Ryan help us. Here are pictures of us, but I didn’t even get a picture of my dad. The one who helped us the most, sigh. Thank You!

Here is the yard all dig up. My mom and Mickie cleared TONS of branches away from the backyard. it is so nice to be able to get out there and be so claustrophobic. I love the space we now have.

Wiring the manifolds. Yeah we found the other one too with the trencher, woops!

So, this looks like it would qualify for a family home evening project. I didn’t see any smiles though.

It’s not that much better with no trees or grass!

I got to hear all about it at Tues. night dinner. Wow! What a project. The two things I got out of our dinner was: 1. Football camp was awesome…BIG, but awesome, except for the annoying lady who needed to shut up. 2. Your Mom hates pruning trees!

Wow that looked like a big project! How thoughtful of your family and friends to help. Here in TX most homes don’t have sprinklers, luckily the owners of our rental home had them installed. It’s much easier and the kids love running through them too! 🙂
