Will still has a job

1 Oct

Moral at Noni has been pretty low today. Not a lot of people knew about the lay offs. Will was one of the few that did. In fact the person that told Will they were going to happened got laied off herself. He said it has been pretty hard. A lot of the upper management has been laied off and quite a few other people too.

He said one of the hardest was a guy on his team. Will just got off the phone with Ron (bosses boss) and all of a sudden Ron called Thomas. Thomas answered and was asked to go up to his office. Will’s heart sunk as soon as he hear where he was going. He was not expecting a thing. Crazy, one day you have a job and the next you don’t. His wife just gave birth a month ago.

Will is safe, but still scary. He said it feels like you are sitting at work just waiting for the fireing squad. Not a very fun experience. At least last time they had lay offs he was clueless about it until they were practically over. I think he would prefer that then have to worry about it.

I am thankful that he still has a job. I am sad to hear of the people that have had to leave. But I am still very grateful that we don’t have to try and worry about that. Moral has been down and for a good reason…

I’m so sorry Will. That truly sucks. The economy sucks. I’m happy you currently have a job and I’ll be praying for you.

Yup, it’s tough! We’ve been through it a number of times and it’s never easy and we’ve been on both sides of the layoffs- job, no job and the manager who has to do it. Sorry to preach but the only thing I can say is keep paying your tithing and it will work out one way or the other.

I am happy to hear he has a job, but it is very sad when you know some that lose theirs… Eric had that happen to him a couple times in CO.
