Will’s Entry: NWOD-EDISPU

29 Dec

Okay, so maybe the title isn’t upside-down, but I”m NOT going to spend any time looking for the correct font on-line.  Our world has been a little upside-down lately and I thought I’d blog about it.  Frequent visitors are already aware that about 2 weeks ago, our niece Baylee was stricken, then diagnosed with a rare (and scary) disease – OMS.  So how have things been going from Will’s perspective, you may ask . . .

For the last week we’ve been able to take care of Laycee, the sick niece’s 10 month old sister since she couldn’t stay at the hospital with her parents.  This was good since it gave us a way to be involved that didn’t involve just waiting by the phone and computer for updates.  Bad because the last time she was here, she was NOT happy.  So the last week we’ve added a 3rd child to our 2-kid family.  It’s been great;  A little adjustment on everyone’s part but she’s been a joy to have around.  She sleeps in the bedroom with Sierra and it hasn’t been an issue at all.  She’s started to walk and we get to see the improvement everyday.  She’s a very happy kid and has taken quite the liking to Kristin.  She likes me too, but I think it’s just because I rescue her from the crib in the morning and deliver her bottle.

I feel like I’m just saying stuff that’s already been said.  Anyway, Baylee is out of the hospital and the family is staying at our house for awhile.  Kay’s here too and if last night and its odd conversations were any indication, it’ll make for an interesting time.
