Breaking the Habit

13 May

Can you believe it I took pictures. While Maddie was here the kids had a ball. They played princesses, bowling, play dough, drew popsicle stick puzzles, and they played with goop.

I was daring and we made goop. 1 part water 2 parts corn starch. Boy did they have fun playing with it. They called it Ewwwwey Gooooey.

Sierra on the other hand touched it once and was done. She was just not that interested in getting messy.

Word to the wise: If you make it don’t stack the plates right on top of each other. They stick together like glue. It took a long time to get them apart.

And lastly I finally gave up and bought a finger guard. Will and Jason’s relationship has been pretty strained so hopefully this will help. This guard is suppose to prevent him from getting suction on his fingers. Yesterday was the first day that he had it on. He is supposed to wear it for a month and the habit will be broken. We will see how things go.

The first 20 min he did not want to wear it. Then I was able to distract him with lunch. Once nap time hit he had a huge fit again that lasted the whole 2 hours. It was tough to listen to. Ever sence he has not put up a fight about it. I am hoping that the worst part is over.

He is being such a champ about the whole thing.
