Relaxing weekend

2 Aug

This weekend was a nice relaxing one. Friday I took the kids to Seven peaks. We were so worn out that in the evening all we wanted to do was stay home. So we pulled out a few of the kids games and had a game night. How can you beat a marble game or don’t break the ice?

Saturday we took the kids to seven peaks again and then rented Alvin and the chipmunk the chipmunk adventure. As a kid I remember watching it and loving it. I guess things don’t change because my kids LOVE it. Jason and Sierra will sit threw it over and over if they could. (Side note: Sierra is starting to scare me at seven peaks. She will hold her breath, stick her head under the water, push-off the bottom, and kick her little legs. It is as close to swimming as I have ever seen a 2 1/2 year old get. Plus she will go on the big kid slides and refuse help. Jason I am not as worried about. He loves to go down the slides, jump off the edge spinning, and loves to swim under the water.)

Sunday we invited Art and Steph over for dinner. It was nice not to be bored on a sunday. Plus the kids loved playing with each other. At one point there was a large foam ball war. Can you guess that Jason is into playing with this morning?

Well here are more OR Pictures. These are the rest of the pictures of the park.

Jason was able to get revenge on Grandma for making him fall off. Ok so I helped a bit 😉

Sierra couldn’t really get this thing to go, so Grandma hopped on and got them bobbing back and forth.

What cute kids!

Don’t worry, it seems like there’s always other adults looking at Sierra wondering if they need to save her . . .
And yes, that was a very fun dinner. TASTY!!!
