Early Fireworks…

28 Jul

After all the relaxing and hanging out on saturday in Colorado there was a cul-de-sac dinner/fireworks show. We of course feed the kids before, so we would not have to worry about trying to get them to eat outside. Grandma Wu helped feed Elena…

Hey look. We did get a picture of Connor.

After the kids ate they went outside to play with new friends. Sierra and this little boy were so cute to watch. At one point he asked her if they could hold hands. She said no, but that did not stop him from showing her his garage, taking her behind a bush to play, or even “fixing” her hair. Now that was a funny sight. Hahaha. It was just to cute.

No she was not going to give him a hug. She was just really animated.

Finally it was time for the good part, the fireworks!

We were not as prepared as I would have hoped, so we borrowed a few jackets/hoodies for the kids and I.

You just have to play with sparklers. No matter how old you are!

See so much excitement. Or she might have been punch drunk from staying up so late.

He was a little sad that the sparkler went out 😦

Troy and Tracie started us off with the sparklers and pretty much provided them for the whole neighborhood.

Brooke was not so into the whole sparkler scene…

Here is another “cheese” face… It makes me laugh. And I spy another picture of Connor!

A lot more punch drunk!

The actual fireworks started to go off and Brooke was not a fan. Grandma Ware helped to comfort her for a while.

Sierra was a fan!

Jason loved them too!

The punch drunk Sierra wore off. She was just so tired by 10:20 that she couldn’t stay up any more. She straddled me and fell asleep. It was just to cute. None of my kids fall asleep in my arms. I loved every second of it.

Until I felt this warm sensation all over my pants. I now know what it feels like to have my daughter pee all over me in her sleep. Not a huge fan. What else do you do but laugh and take a shower.

Sunday we went to the baby blessing, drove home, did some laundry, re-packed, and drove to Oregon the next day.

Thanks for letting us come and visit. We had a blast!

Great pictures; my favorites-you and the kids with sparklers, Will’s huge smile with his sparkler, and the family picture at the end. What fun to ‘play’ with family. 🙂

Love the pictures – what a great visit!! And it’s okay if you just admit that you’re the one who peed your pants Kristin. 🙂
