Will’s Entry: Sierra at Disney

1 Mar

Sierra was wonderful to have at Disney too (now, if only we could have left her tiny bladder somewhere else).  She was very happy-go-lucky the whole time and just excited to be with her family doing something fun.  We really should have bought some shoes with a thicker heel.  She was about a centimeter too short for many of the big rides and would have totally enjoyed them.  She’s as fearless as she’s ever been.

She did get on the Soaring over California ride and LOVED it.  That was the Disney-parent moment when you look over and see her just wide-eyed and giddy at what she’s experiencing.  After that and all the rides she enjoyed, she’d jump up and down exclaiming, “Best Ride EVER!!!”

Her funniest moment was due to me.  We’d stopped somewhere and I told her she needed to get out of the stroller.  She started to get up and then sat back down.  I repeated it a couple times and then started tipping the stroller and shaking it while saying “C’mon . . . get out!” At that point she wails, “I’m BUCKLED!”  I don’t know if I was the one who buckled her in (she usually wasn’t) but it got a laugh out of everyone.

I love the Soaring over California ride. One of my favs too. How funny that you were trying to shake her out of the stroller.

So the Schmidts said last night at dinner, that they folded up socks and put in the heels of Halley’s shoes. The napkins just weren’t tall enough….bummer!
